“ The challenges of global warming are currently at the center of international news and dialogue. In recent years many countries and organizations have addressed this issue through efforts to control greenhouse gas emissions, but countries also increasingly need to adapt to climatic changes. Given the urgent need for international & national
action we need to learn as best we can from past experience and evaluation can and should play a crucial role in this regard. However, evaluation of climate change and development has never been subject of an international exchange of experiences.
For the first time, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in collaboration with the GEF-Global Environmental Facility organize the International Conference on Climate Change Evaluation & Development, the workshop will address the needs and assess the state of climate change and development evaluation. “
