Mustapha Cherif

Mustapha Chérif is a professor at the University of Algiers. He is philosophical and a thinker specializing in communication, the cultural and interfaith dialogues. He is Doctor d'Etat in political philosophy from the University of Toulouse; Doctor of sociology from la Sorbonne and graduate of studies in history and international law. He was a President of the scientific Council of the Institute in Information sciences and Communication, then founder and President of the University of the Continuous Training. He was Minister for the Higher education and Scientific Research, then Ambassador of Algeria in Egypt. He was a visiting professor of the College of France and joint Professor at the Toulouse University; President of the forum of the Intellectuals Algerian, Mr. Cherif is involved in cultural dialogue like the Forum of the Arab Reform of the Alexandria Library, the Strategic Committee in communication of the Conference of Audio-visual in the Mediterranean and collaborates as an invited researcher in the activities of the Barcelona European Institute of the Mediterranean, the Rome Observatory of the Mediterranean and the Open University of Catalonia.
