Manar ElGammal

Manar el-Gammal, founder of the Alliance of 25 Jan Revolutionists in Egypt & Arabic World. She has played an organizing and frontline role for the protest movement and new opposition organizations both before and after the fall of the Mubarak regime. Manar elGammal, Professor Assistant ,Faculty of Engineering Architecture Dep. due to her Academic excellence she was awarded a scholarship by Cairo university to Catania University, Italy to continue her post graduate studies. She holds two master's degree with distinction. One in Urban-Socio-Economic Sustainable Development. Another in Economics & Valorization of Cultural Heritage. She participated in several Conferences regarding the Economic upgrade and Community development process of Poor Popular Areas in Egypt. Manar had worked & volunteered in several NGO’s for Sustainable Development in Egypt. She worked as a specialist with the GTZ & ECCA in the Social Rehabilitation & Built environment upgrade of Cairo’s informal settlements. She worked with Al AGAKHAN Trust in the Revitalization & Development Project of Al Darb al Ahmar District-Al Azhar area, with Al Baraem’s institute in the Development of Saint Mary Campus,Old Cairo. This is beside her volunteer political awareness campaigns & educational activities. Also her personal efforts of initiating several Research projects of Sustainable Development & Community development in the Rural Areas & villages of Egypt.
