Dionisius Agius

 

Dionisius Agius, Fellow of the British Academy, Emeritus Professor of Arabic Studies and Islamic Material Culture at the University of Exeter. Educated at the Jesuit Université St-Joseph, Beirut, Lebanon and University of Toronto, Canada.  A philologist, specializing in medieval Arabic historical, geographical and travel texts, he is committed to the study of maritime landscapes of the Indian Ocean. Author of numerous books including:
