GAELLE KRIKORIAN

PhD candidate at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and a member of the Interdisciplinary Research Institute on Social Issues. Social Sciences, Politics and Health (IRIS) in Paris. She is currently an advisor on Access to Knowledge and Intellectual Property issue for the Greens at the European Parliament. She recently co-edited a book on social mobilizations in this field: Access to Knowledge in the Age of Intellectual Property (Zone Books Eds: New York). Her research in sociology is focusing on the way health issues are taken into account during the negotiation of intellectual property in Free Trade Agreements (she concentrated mainly on agreements between the United States and developing countries, primarily Morocco and Thailand).
