Gabrielle Persley
DR GABRIELLE PERSLEY Gabrielle Persley is currently senior advisor to the Director General of the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) headquartered in Nairobi. She has been closely associated with the development of the concept and planning of Biosciences eastern and central Africa (BecA), a new centre for excellence in biosciences now established as a cooperative joint venture amongst national, regional and international research institutions in eastern and central Africa, together with the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) and ILRI. Dr Persley is an Australian, and a graduate of the University of Queensland. Dr Persley is the Founder and Chair of the Doyle Foundation, a Scottish-based charity whose purpose is to support and advocate the role of science in international development. www.doylefoundation.org
