Laura Gribbon
Laura Gribbon holds a BA in International Development from the University of East London and an MSc in Middle East Politics from the School for Oriental Studies and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She has a professional background in community relations, and is currently working in Northern Ireland on the visual politics of identity. Focusing on the discovery of unheard voices, Gribbon has a keen interest in communicating through images and non-verbal messages. Arriving in Cairo in early January 2011, and living close to Tahrir, Gribbon was often in the "Midan" speaking to people and taking pictures. Her research interests include the construction and deconstruction of Political martyrs in Egypt.
