Joie Springer
Joie Springer directs UNESCO’s Memory of the World Programme, an initiative geared to raising awareness of the urgent need to preserve analogue and digital documentary heritage. The programme’s register currently lists 193 items from different countries around the world.
Ms. Springer is also the UNESCO Project Coordinator for the World Digital Library, which aims to promote international and intercultural understanding and awareness, increase the volume of multilingual and culturally diverse content on the internet, provide resources for educators and contribute to academic research.
